I am embracing the cringe

Doubtful anyone will see this post - especially since I won’t be cross-posting anywhere. I just wanted to announce that I do want to get back into this reviewing thing… eventually. I’m not too happy with my approach to older reviews and find some of what I’ve written cringe. Hence the title.

I’m making all the past posts available despite my distaste for past posts. Though I did delete a few and I will not be rewriting them. Despite that, I am, for the most part, embracing the cringe of my past self - more to maintain a backlog than anything else.

I do want to get back into this but I’m still thinking of how I’m going to do it. One, I plan on cross-posting on a dedicated Tumblr blog. In fact, I’ve already made one. Two, I might do this seasonally? Summer is when a lot of movies come out so I might, might, do a handful reviews during the summer months. Still unsure about that.

Anyway, I don’t have any self-imposed deadlines so this will probably be the last post for a while. We’ll see what happens.

Let's Enjoy "Fear Street 1978"!

Hm. I’m not sure what to say here. I liked the movie. I loved the movie. But a lot of my praise for it would simply echo my last review. I’m also 85% sure I’ve actually read the book this particular movie is based since I “guessed” the twist near the end of who was telling the story. Either I’ve read the book or I’m just so familiar with Fear Street that I knew what to expect. Neither of which are a bad thing.

Let's Enjoy "Fear Street 1994"!

I freaking loved this movie! There is just so much awesomeness in it, I cannot express how much I loved it! Says the person who’s writing a review blog post of said movie.

Ok, anyway, I loved the Fear Street books as a kid. R.L. Stine was my favorite author for a really long time. And this movie perfectly captures those feelings. There’s a ton to get into here.

Let's Not Enjoy "Lucifer" (Season Five part 2)

Warning: spoilers abound!

Ok, I watched the latest episodes when they first dropped, but I’m writing this review so late because, honestly, I couldn’t figure out what to say. Let me be clear that I did like most of the episodes in this latter half of the season (though the musical episode fell a little flat). God deciding to retire and the angels, including Lucifer, fighting for the throne was a fun storyline. I actually wish there was more focus on it - the drama in the last couple episodes was fantastic. But there was one thing, one issue that Lucifer was dealing with that tainted the entire experience for me.

Let's Enjoy "Lucifer" (Season One)!

Warning: spoilers abound!

I’ve heard good things about this show in the past and I was not disappointed. I loved it so much! The devil partnering up with a detective to solve murder in LA? Sold! Not gonna lie, I did not know what I was in for when I started, so I was pleasantly surprised with what I got. I’m a sucker for both crime shows and supernatural stuff, so I am most certainly a member of the target audience.
